Ubuntu 11.10

I got around to updating Ubuntu to 11.10 on my computer.  I got my laptop setup to do a dual boot.  I can boot up into Windows 7 or into Ubuntu (Linux).  About 95% of the time I use Windows 7.
But Ubuntu is now, I think, ready for prime time.  It is very nice.
It is still not for everyone.

If you have an old computer that does not have the power for Windows 7 and you need to do the very basic Internet stuff then Ubuntu will do it for you.  You can surf the Internet, you can do email and the other things you need to do.

I run Skype on both Windows and Ubuntu.  So I can get and make phone calls using Skype.

Some webcams will work with Ubuntu.
Version 11.10 is nice. I may start using Ubuntu more.  I am using it right now to post this to Howard's Notebook.
